LifeCell accredited by DSIR

Chennai, Jan. 02 The Research and Development division of LifeCell, pioneers in cord blood stem cell banking in India, has been recognized by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR). With this accreditation, LifeCell is entitled to receive support from the premier Government establishment such as Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), Department of Biotechnology (DBT) and The Department of Science & Technology (DST) on any advanced research in Stem Cell Biology.

Mr. Abhaya Kumar, Vice Chairman, LifeCell , said "From the onset, we have been striving to set very high standards that are in alignment with Life Cell's vision. With this accreditation, our adherence has been formally recognized. In a country like India, where stem cell industry is still at its infant stage this accreditation is a boost to LifeCell to promote further research in Stem Cell and to collaborate with other national institutions of excellence."
